This past Friday our Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Piotr Oglaza issued a statement asking all residents in our communities to avoid unnecessary travel to other regions of the province.

Dr. Oglaza’s request is one that council fully supports.  The risk to our residents from COVID-19 is real and we need to take individual actions, like avoiding unnecessary travel, to keep ourselves and our neighbours safe.

We urge everyone in our municipality to follow Dr. Oglaza’s advice.  It just makes good sense.  If we all work together we can protect each other.  Let’s do our part to keep our County and our municipality in the green zone.
