The Ministry of Natural Resources and Fire lifted the Restricted Fire Zone for the entire Province of Ontario.

As of 4:00pm on July 11, 2023, the Fire Chief for the Township of Faraday lifted the fire ban for the Township, with restrictions.

The Township has returned to night time burning only (7:00pm-7:00am).  Campfires and charcoal cooking appliances are permitted.  Residents are asked to refrain from burning piles of brush at this time.

Burn permits will not be issued.  It is important to remain vigilant and safe with open flames.
